Why a biologist working with tourism?

For more than 15 years, I has been working for generate scientific knowledge in the area of ecology and conservation of neotropical wildlife. My trajectory as conservationist and scientist has not been easy. For example, the governments of Latinoamerica have never had as priority of investment in "conservation science" and the international resources for conservation of the neotropical biodiversity each year diminish. However, what is increasing in Latinoamerica is the destruction of its natural heritage. Due to the lack of economic support in the conservation the idea of "Sergio Escobar Wildlife Expeditions" begins to take shape and in the year 2017  I decided to create this tour operator, with two main aims: A) to reveal, care and spread the passion for wildlife to others, and B) capture economic resources of nature tourism and inject them into the conservation programs and research projects of Colombia's biodiversity.

After several years trying to register and conserve different magical places in Latinoamerica and their biodiversity, we have felt the need to share and show the most beautiful elements of the Latinoamerica biodiversity with the world. I created "Sergio Escobar Wildlife Expeditions" so that it was not a traditional tour operator whose only purpose is economic profit, on the contrary if you travel with me, we will experience nature, while simultaneously supporting several programs focused on conservation researches, environmental education programs, conservation projects and sustainable tourism. This is an incentive with which I try to awaken the astonishment of whoever wants to join me in this wild adventure
